In line with the project titled SEALAN: Strengthening the regional EALAN network to build capacity in Land Administration and Land Governance in the Great Lakes Region, on this Tuesday 16th May 2017, Lecturers and Researchers of INES-Ruhengeri received training on EALAN (EALAN: Eastern Africa Land Administration Network).
The network is a platform where mainly academic partners share ideas, experiences and plans for improving land administration education/training and research in the region.
Currently, membership of the network in the Eastern Africa region includes: Kenya Polytechnic University (Kenya), Ardhi University (Tanzania), Bahir Dar University (Ethiopia), Makerere University (Uganda), INES-Ruhengeri (Rwanda), National University of Rwanda, The Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD) from (Nairobi, Kenya), University of Juba (South Sudan), University of Burundi.
The content of the training are aligned to the interests expressed by EALAN staff during the EALAN AGM in 2016, in Dar es Salam, Tanzania.

The participants will benefits from this workshop more about or new insights in to the context of land rights for women, tenure system, property rights and gender in different cultures.
