The Africa Science Week “Igniting the power of science”

INES-Ruhengeri attended The Next Einstein Forum exhibition held on 10th June 2017 at Kigali Car Free Zone. The Next Einstein Forum (NEF) – Africa’s global forum for science in Africa – is an AIMS initiative in partnership with Robert Bosch Stiftung. This global platform connects science, society and policy in Africa and the rest of the world – with the goal to leverage science for human development globally.

This event, exhibition, was in line with this year’s Africa science week under the theme “Igniting the power of science” which will be held in 13 african countries, there will be a variety of activities with the aim of galvanizing science in Africa especially among young people in primary and secondary schools.

INES-Ruhengeri  took  part in the Science week particularly in the first ever science expo that is slated to happen in the Car Free Zone. Where different innovative products from department of Computer Science, Biotechnology and Land Survey were presented.

As the aim was to inspire young people by showing them the practical side of science and technology, INES-Ruhengeri exhibition included projects mostly done by students of these departments.
