The National Secretariat for Catholic Education (SNEC) in Rwanda and Secretariat Géneral de l’Enseignement Catholique (SGEC) in France are initiating collaboration in education sector. These two institutions were established by the Conference of the Catholic Bishops in their countries, Rwanda and France. Both technical offices have mandate to plan and coordinate all activities oriented to the implementation of the teaching mission of Catholic Church.
It’s from that background that Mr. Daniel RENAUD with his wife from Secretariat Géneral de l’Enseignement Catholique (SGEC) in France visited INES-Ruhengeri on this 15th May 2018.
Mr. Daniel RENAUD explained the goal of their visit which is to discuss with INES management the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of teaching (mobility of programs, students and teachers), research and knowledge transfer.
When exchanging, the Rector of INES-Ruhengeri, Fr. Dr. Fabien HAGENIMANA explained the background and the raison behind the creation of INES-Ruhengeri and its new orientation of being applied sciences based institution and how this new teaching approach in the region helps to address the problem of the community.
Mr. Daniel RENAUD visited and get explanations of what is doing in its various laboratories, like Material testing laboratory, Hydraulic laboratory, Water quality laboratory, Food processing unit, Food Microbiology laboratory, Clinical Microbiology laboratory, Parasitology laboratory, Molecular biology and Immunoserology laboratory, Phlebotomy and Anatomy laboratory, Chemistry laboratory, Haematology and Immunohematology laboratory, Clinical chemistry laboratory, Tissu culture laboratory, Surveying laboratory, Computer laboratories, Civil Engineering workshops and screen houses.
