Dr Tende Renz Tichafogwe at INES-Ruhengeri

I am Dr. Tende Renz Tichafogwe, Senior Lecturer in Urban and Development Geography at The University of Yaounde 1, Cameroon.

I came to INES following the German DAAD Staff Exchange Program on NELGA and was assigned to lecture Environmental studies to Land Administration Management Level 1. Furthermore, I as well carried-out a presentation on research methods to LAM level 3 and a public discussion on the linkage between Environment and Land administration with the Levels 1 and 2.

My one month stay in Musanze has been so exciting as I discovered new ways of interacting especially with students of a different culture. The exchanges with the students made me understand several aspects of the Rwandan environment. The language, the food and the values of the people are worth commending.

I actually had a wonderful time and will love to keep this south-south cooperation connection. Above all, the warmth from both the administrators and immediate facilitators of the LAM Department was really heart touching. Many thanks to the colleagues and to the INES Administration. I hope to come back soon.
