On this Friday 2nd June 2017, INES-Ruhengeri hosted the graduation ceremony of 160 youth entrepreneurs trained by TechnoServe-Rwanda. After exhibition of different entrepreneurs, the audience headed in the main hall for conference and awards.
During this ceremony The Rector INES-Ruhengeri Fr. Dr. Fabien Hagenimana gave a warm welcome to different guests. “INES’ doors are always open for you, youth, we care on youth. As you may know INES-Ruhengeri has Incubation Center called INES Business Incubation Center (INES-BIC) which helps youth to develop and achieve their dreams” He said.
Madame Angelique, The country director of TechnoServe thanked all partners used their efforts to make the event happen. “We work with enterprising people in the developing world to build competitive farms, businesses and industries”, She said. She ended the speech by encouraging the youth to work hard and use opportunities to step forwards.
In this event three cooperatives of farmers signed the Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with INES-Ruhengeri to establish a long-term collaboration in agricultural-based projects development and implementation, to undertake a mutual collaboration in services providing especially in the domain of vitroplants, minitubers and soil analysis, in coaching, in offering trainings, in research and project proposals development and implementation, in advocacy and in sharing information on the market opportunities.
INES as applied science institution has many it can help in, by using its personnel specialized in the domain of technology based agriculture, its laboratories for seeds multiplication, for soil analysis, etc
When giving the remarks mayor of Musanze District HABYARIMANA Jean Damascène presented his joy and thank all partners of the event. He encourage the youth to start their own business. “These youth are now solution to the government of Rwanda and Musanze district in particularly because of entrepreneurial skills got from training and these cheques received as award for best project” he added.
