INES offered “Mutuelle de Santé” to the 1540 vulnerable people

Every university has three important missions, Teaching, Research and Community outreach, INES participates in the development of the region in general and the community surrounding INES in particular, this is why on this Friday 21st September 2018 INES-Ruhengeri offered health insurances, “Mutuelle de Santé” to the 1540 vulnerable people in Musanze district.

The event was officiated by the Rector of INES-Ruhengeri, Fr. Dr. Fabien HAGENIMANA, KARAKE Ferdinand, Advisor to the Governor of Northern Province and BAGIRISHYA Pierre Claver, Executive of Musanze district and other authorities and brought together special guests who were the people to receive health insurances.

In his speech Fr. Dr. Fabien HAGENIMANA, the Rector of INES-Ruhengeri has built his speech on three important missions of every university: Teaching, Research and Community outreach. “In line with community outreach INES as applied sciences institute, we have different projects to address the problems of the community we also care about the life of vulnerable people that is why we have decided to offer health insurances to the 1540 people“ he said

He also use the Latin proverb “Mens sana in corpore sano”, which means A sound mind in a sound body or “Roho Nziza mu mubiri muzima”. To explain the motivation behind this action. “We cannot be happy when the people around us are suffering” He said.

The Rector of INES told to the good collaboration with the government of Rwanda and Musanze district in particular.

When addressing to the audience, Mr. KARAKE Ferdinand, Advisor to the Governor of Northern Province thanked INES-Ruhengeri for good collaboration with the Government of Rwanda through different activities, researches, projects, teaching etc. “Thank you for contributing to the welfare of people of Musanze district” He Said

KARAKE ended his speech saying that having INES-Ruhengeri in the province in general and in Musanze district in particular help in the development of the district through different services offered by INES-Ruhengeri.
