Lecturer of INES-Ruhengeri got certificate to fly fixed wing drone.

Mr. NKERABIGWI Placide lecturer and Head of Land Survey department at INES-Ruhengeri participated in training from 13th November to 17th November in France.

Training was about flying and mapping using UVA/drone DT 18. The training held in Detair Tech Company, in Toulouse (France) between 13 and 17 November 2017. Afterwards Mr. Placide went in Chepstow, UK for flight assessment under the supervision of UAVair consortiq, UK. He got the certificate of unmanned aircraft qualification which allows to fly fixed wing drone with less than 7 kg.

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without a human pilot aboard.  The flight of UAVs may operate with various degrees of autonomy: either under remote control by a human operator or autonomously by onboard computers.
