Let’s keep INES flag flying high

On this Saturday 3rd March 2018, INES-Ruhengeri organized meeting with its former students, Alumni. Alumni means men and women who have completed their studies, especially at a college or university. Alumni started by visiting INES facilities and infrastructure like laboratories guided by the Rector of INES-Ruhengeri.

Everyone started pouring in the main hall at 11:00 am. After registration activity was done at the entrance gate. When welcoming the Alumni, Rector of INES wished all those present, a great time at home. He expressed his joy of being with them. Self-Introduction by alumni from 2003’s batch (pioneer batch) followed by others, brought out memories of campus. INES has so far 5,151 graduates.

The presentation of The Rector, Fr. Dr Fabien HAGENIMANA opened the discussion and exchange in the hall; he underlined the importance of this meeting, role of Alumni in the development of institution and the role of institution in the growth of its alumni.

Further, it was debated as to how to redynamism INES-Ruhengeri Alumni Forum. Followinig are some common ideas given:

  1. To create platform to link Alumni and facilitate communication,
  2. Enhance the effectiveness of the Alumni Association,
  3. Increase the alumni connectivity/affinity and sense of pride,

Many strategies and tactics associated with them will enable the Alumni Association to become a force in helping interested alumni find various ways to serve.

It was a good opportunity for Alumni to meet with their colleagues after long pried and so good for INES to hear feedback from its former students who are on the market.  It was attended by significant number of alumni members from all Departments ie that every Department was represented. This was a successful thing, also the meeting ended by electing the New Committee which is chaired by BYABARUMWANZI Valens.

The meeting ended by networking phase and cocktail.
