Father Dr. Jean Bosco Baribeshya: New Vice-Chancellor of INES-Ruhengeri

On Wednesday 27th July 2022, INES-Ruhengeri, the Institute of Applied Sciences got a new Vice-Chancellor, Fr. Dr. Jean Bosco Baribeshya. It was in a handover ceremony between the outgoing Vice-Chancellor Fr. Dr. Fabien Hagenimana and the incoming Vice-Chancellor Fr. Dr. Jean Bosco Baribeshya.

The Chancellor of INES-Ruhengeri, His Lordship Bishop Vincent Harolimana thanked Fr. Dr. Fabien Hagenimana for his commitment to developing INES-Ruhengeri during 14 years of service including 8 years serving as Vice-Chancellor.

Thank you, Fr. Dr. Fabien Hagenimana. The entire family of INES-Ruhengeri thanks you for your dedication and commitment to its development. We wish you all the best in your new mission", Bishop Vincent Harolimana who went on to welcoming the new Vice-Chancellor. He promised Fr. Dr. Jean Bosco Baribeshya that the Family of INES-Ruhengeri is ready to well collaborate with him.

In her speech, Mrs. Dancilla Nyirarugero, Governor of Northern Province underlined the good leadership of H.E Paul Kagame that promotes quality education in general and at the INES-Ruhengerii in particular. Governor Dancilla Nyirarugero requested INES-Ruhengeri to continue playing a vital role in Northern Province in general and in Musanze district in particular; finding solutions to the problems that hamper the citizens’ welfare. She pledged collaborative support from the entire northern Province.

The Vice-Chancellor, Fr. Dr. Jean Bosco Baribeshya said that he is honored to be appointed to this new position where he will build INES-Ruhengeri based on what Fr. Dr. Fabien Hagenimana has done so far in developing INES.

INES-Ruhengeri opened its doors on 17th November 2003. Currently, INES-Ruhengeri has over 3650 students among them about 220 are international students. So far, 9277 students are graduated in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
