Prof. Jean Bosco HARELIMANA holds a Master in Microfinance and economic development, a post graduate certificate in teaching and learning in Higher Education, a PhD degree in management sciences/finance from Universite Cheik Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD), Senegal. Since January 2006, he is a lecturer at High Learning Institutions and Universities in Rwanda, Senegal and Benin.
He is currently Coordinator of postgraduate studies at INES-Ruhengeri and associate Professor in Enterprises Management at INES-Ruhengeri where he intervenes as member of the teaching team for the modules of strategic management, fundraising techniques, investment management, portfolio management, purchasing management, creativity and Innovation, corporate finance, cost accounting, management accounting research methodology modules and teaching in postgraduate programs, 2 modules in Masters of arts in microfinance and 2 modules in masters of sciences in taxation, 2 modules in masters of cooperatives management, 2 modules in masters of entrepreneurship and SMEs management.
He has more than twelve years’ experience in teaching and academic leadership and Sixteen years’ experience of professional life because he has been Regional Coordinator of AQUADEV Central and Eastern Africa for five years, SOLIDEV SABL for 6 years and VISION JEUNESSE NOUVELLE for 5 years. He also has experience in designing and monitoring the implementation of socio economic development Programs.
He has a good publication record, including publications in top internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals with high impact factor, and supervises students’ research projects at all levels of university education, including doctoral students. He mainly works on Bridging the Innovation Gap between Academia and Industry. His current research interests are mainly in finance, microfinance, control and audit, business management, project management, entrepreneurship and market analysis.
