Dr. Samuel Sindayigaya is the current Dean of faculty of Applied Fundamental Sciences (AFS) at the Institut d’Enséignement Supérieur de Ruhengeri (INES-Ruhengeri), Rwanda. He is the Senior Lecturer of statistics, probability, sampling methods and research methodology in the department of Statistics Applied to Economy (SAE). He received his Master in mathematical statistics from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Kenya and his PhD in Statistics from the same university in 2017. In his work records, Dr. Samuel Sindayigaya has been in teaching service since 1998. He started as primary teacher, then secondary school science and Math tutor before He became an Inspector of Education. He also served Rwanda Higher Education Council for almost a decade and also a university lecturer since 2012. He had been collaborating with other international scholars from different recognized universities and did several presentations and seminars mostly in German Universities notably at the Ludwig Maxmilians University of Munich, Mannheim University and Potsdam University. His research focuses on population stochastic process, demographic measures and modeling, branching process, statistical modeling and sampling techniques. He is now a postdoctoral fellow in the institute of mathematics at the University of Potsdam, Germany. He published a number of papers on population modeling and dynamism, population stochastic process with genocide incidence and He is the author of “A Novel Statistical Model for Poverty Estimation”.
