A total of 168 students of INES-Ruhengeri living in Musanze districts (Musanze, Muhoza and Kimonyi sectors) have been supported with dry food donations including rice, flour, beans and soap by INES-Ruhengeri in collaboration with Musanze district.
Recipients of the food donations have expressed appreciation over the intervention saying that since their studies stopped due to lockdown as a measure towards preventing the spread of coronavirus, their feeding patterns have fundamentally changed as they have only been cooking once in a while.
One of the recipients said: “I used to get money from my parents. But when the coronavirus pandemic hit the country, they can’t get money their jobs have to stop due to Coronavirus. , Feeding became hard. God bless INES-Ruhengeri and Musanze district. We also thank our government for continued support as well.’’
Donated food has a value of 1,374,600 frw.
