On this Thursday 3rd May 2018, INES staff and students visited ETEFOP School, technical vocation training school located in Musanze sector. Every university has three important missions which are teaching, research and community engagement, the visit of INES delegation in ETEFOP was in line with community engagement where INES offered 40 computers to this TVT School to help them to better teach computer based programs.
ETEFOP has now 403 students, 280 boys and 123 girls, this school has introduced computer system technology in its programs means that they need computers which these students may use in varies courses. Students who are studying in computer system technology need more computers for doing practices.
Fr. TURIKUMWENAYO Revelien, director of ETEFOP thanked INES-Ruhengeri for commitment to support his institution with important gift. “These machines will help us to increase practices and our students become more familiar on the use of technology” he said.
The Rector of INES-Ruhengeri, Fr. Dr Fabien HAGENIMANA encouraged the ETEFOP students and asks them to work hard for their better future. “These computers will help you to do more practices and gain hands on skills” he said “INES was created with aim to support in the development of the surrounding community this is why we are here” he added
“With the use of technology we can do more, try to increase skills in technology and in communication as we are in global village” He ended
