Dr. Jean Bosco Bugingo (PhD) successfully defended and completed his PhD in Physics Education at the University of Rwanda-College of Education-African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science. He also holds a Master of Education from Kampala International University (KIU), earned in 2012, and completed his undergraduate studies in Physics-Chemistry-Education at the University of Rwanda-College of Education (formerly KIE) in 2009. Furthermore, he completed his advanced level of secondary school in Mathematics-Physics at Groupe Scolaire de Kabare.
Currently, Dr. Bugingo serves as the Director of Laboratories and a lecturer of Physics subjects at INES-Ruhengeri. Previously, he worked as an assistant lecturer at Mount Kenya University in Rwanda, where he taught Physics and Science educational courses. He has extensive experience in training STEM teachers in Rwandan primary and secondary schools, developing training manuals, and serving as a national trainer on practical activities in science laboratories for high schools. Additionally, Dr. Bugingo has a wealth of experience teaching physics at the high school level, working as a Career and Guidance Counselor, and representing PhD students at the University of Rwanda-College of Education.

Dr. Bugingo's research interests include Science Education, Teacher Education, Physics Education, the Nature of Science, and curriculum implementation.
