Mr. Fabrice NKURUNZIZA holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, specialization: Money and Banking from former National University of Rwanda (NUR-Butare/Rwanda); Master of Science in economics from Lovely Professional University (LPU-Punjab/India); completed successful Applied Quantitative Economics Preparation for a Doctorate (AQEPD); PhD candidate by research in data science (specialization: Econometrics).
He is currently Head of Department of Applied Economics (AE) and Lecturer in the Faculty of Applied Fundamental Sciences (Departments of Statistics Applied Economy), and Faculty of Economics Social Science and Management (Department of Applied Economics), teaching Business economics and forecasting, Current economic analysis, Macroeconomics, Financial modelling, International economics.
He is expert in use of softwares mainly useful in Social sciences such as R-Studio, SPSS, EVIEWS, STATA…. He has a good publication record, including publications in international peer-reviewed journals and supervises students’ research projects in the departments of Applied Economics and Statistics Applied to Economy. His current research interests are mainly in effect of policies affecting consumption behavior, saving, education, and finance in the age of bigdata.
