Eng. BIRORI Jean is a PhD candidate in Safety Sciences and Engineering at Changzhou University, China. He holds a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, obtained in 2024 from Changzhou University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from INES-Ruhengeri, Rwanda, awarded in 2018.
Currently, he is an Assistant Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering and Technology at INES-Ruhengeri, where he teaches undergraduate courses, including Structural Analysis, Engineering Mechanics, Estimating and Costing, and Engineering Drawing. He also supervises undergraduate research projects.
His research interests include Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and the Durability of Recycled Concrete. Additionally, he is a member of the Institute of Engineers Rwanda (IER) and has contributed to various studies on bridge construction, specializing in CAD-based technical drawings.
