Prof. Dr. Kamana Emmanuel is an Associate Professor and Researcher with over 15 years of experience in academia and industry. He earned his PhD in Engineering in Applied Chemistry related to separation processes and energy from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC-China) in 2018, and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Xiamen University (China) in 2010. After completing his Master’s degree in 2010, he worked at INES-Ruhengeri as a Lecturer/Head of the Department of Biotechnologies. Concurrently, he served as an expert in the Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration (GVTC) Project, a Dutch NGO focusing on environment-related issues.
In 2014, he joined the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) as a PhD researcher under the CAS-TWAS Presidential Fellowship. Prof. Dr. Kamana is the author of more than 25 papers in international scientific journals with a significant impact factor and citations (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=X_6hBp8AAAAJ&hl=en). Based on this track record, he was awarded the Best Prize as an Outstanding CAS-TWAS Presidential Fellow (2016) and Excellent International Foreign Fellow (2017) for demonstrating capabilities in industrial-related research at USTC-China, as recognized by the Ministry of Education in China (http://isa.ustc.edu.cn/xs/disp.asp?menu1=02&menu2=03&ucode=196).
