The physics laboratory is hosted by the department of civil engineering, but is also used by other departments where physics is taught. The following are the main goals of the physics laboratory
To support teaching and learning process,
Being able to install electricity in buildings is one of the main outcomes expected from the undergraduate civil engineering programme.
To serve students, lecturers, and researchers in carrying out different research activities
The Physics laboratory is well equipped with laboratory equipment materials required for the practical teaching and learning of the domestic electrical installation. It also contains equipment in all areas of general physics, namely, electricity and magnetism, general mechanics, oscillations and waves, thermodynamics, and optics.
