On June 28, 2024, a delegation from INES-Ruhengeri, our institute of Applied Sciences, actively participated in the University Fair at Rwamagana Leaders School. Our institute emphasizes practical learning through state-of-the-art
laboratories, facilities, the Innovation and Incubation Center, Language Center, Career Advisory and Professional Development Center, STEM Center, and other specialized facilities. Our mission is to contribute to national and regional development by providing specialized university education enhanced by research, fostering competitive enterprises, and promoting well-paid employment opportunities. Representatives from other Rwanda-based universities also inspired students in Rwamagana and Kayonza Districts.
The event featured a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including Architecture, Software Engineering, Biomedical Laboratory Sciences, among others. These events are crucial in bridging the gap between secondary school and higher education, offering comprehensive information and connecting students with valuable career guidance.
INES-Ruhengeri offers a variety of undergraduate programs, including Architecture, Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Industrial Information Technology, Plant Biotechnology, Food Biotechnology, Biomedical Laboratory Sciences, Land Administration and Management, Valuation and Property Management, Advanced Diploma in Land Survey, Land Survey, Statistics Applied to Economy, Entrepreneurship Development and Management, Accounting, Financial Economics, International Economics, Rural Development Economics, Public Administration and Good Governance, French and English with Education, Translation and Interpreting, Law (LLB), and Information Sciences and Library Management.
Postgraduate programs include Master of Arts in Microfinance, Master of Sciences in Taxation, Master of Arts in Entrepreneurship and SME’s Management, Master of Arts in Cooperative Management, Master in Applied Criminal Law, Master of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science with specialization in Clinical Microbiology, Master of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science with specialization in Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and Master of Science in Software Engineering.
This event brought together over 1,892 high school seniors from the region. The INES-Ruhengeri delegation of students and staff, led by Dr. Biraro Mirelle, cherished the opportunity to interact with these future university scholars.
