INES-Ruhengeri Participates in the Nordic Education and Business Delegation to Rwanda

INES-Ruhengeri proudly participated in the Nordic Education and Business Delegation to Rwanda, a two-day high-level event held in Kigali from April 3rd to 4th, 2025. The delegation brought together Nordic and Rwandan business leaders, government officials, academic institutions, and other key stakeholders to explore opportunities for collaboration in education, business, and investment.

The first day of the event, held at Serena Hotel Kigali, featured strategic engagements, networking sessions, and the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between institutions and Nordic partners. The forum created a platform for fostering impactful partnerships and sharing insights on cross-sector collaboration.

The second day, hosted at the University of Rwanda – Camp Kigali (KECV), centered on the Education Track, themed "A Gateway to Global Educational Collaborations and B2B Discussions."

Representing INES-Ruhengeri on the expert panel was Dr. Mireille Biraro, Director of International Relations, who shared insights on the growing Rwanda–Finland educational partnerships and highlighted INES-Ruhengeri’s role in building impactful international collaborations.

Dr. Biraro emphasized the unique value of Rwanda–Finland cooperation in higher education, pointing to INES-Ruhengeri’s successful engagements with Finnish institutions as practical examples of how international partnerships can enhance research, student mobility, and applied learning. She underscored the importance of embracing innovative, forward-looking models that prioritize relevance and adaptability in education. Her remarks also called for greater institutional openness to cross-border collaboration and the scaling of proven models for broader impact.

Through its participation, INES-Ruhengeri reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its international partnerships and contributing to Rwanda's knowledge-based economy. The event served as a valuable platform for connecting with global partners and exploring new paths for educational innovation and development.
