INES Vice-Chancellor Appreciates Mastercard Foundation Support: Empowering the Next Generation through Career Development

In the heart of INES-Ruhengeri, a transformative initiative funded by the Mastercard Foundation has reached its successful conclusion, marking a significant milestone in the journey of career development and professional growth for young graduates. The Career Advisory and Professional Development project, initiated in March 2023, has been a beacon of guidance and empowerment for students, entrepreneurs, and the academic community alike.


On 28th May 2024, the event, graced by the Vice-Chancellor of INES-Ruhengeri Fr. Dr. Jean Bosco Baribeshya, was a celebration of collaboration, innovation, and the tangible impact of strategic partnerships. Fr. Dr. Baribeshya's opening remarks emphasized the crucial role of knowledge and strategic initiatives like this project in shaping successful careers. He highlighted the journey of the initiative, dedicated to equipping graduates with the necessary skills and guidance to excel in today's competitive job market.

Fr. From setting up the operational Career Centre to fostering industry linkages and conducting tracer studies for curriculum improvement, the project has demonstrated tangible outcomes in enhancing the overall career development experience for students.

Looking ahead, Fr. Dr. Baribeshya emphasized the commitment of CAPDC to evolve and expand its services to meet the dynamic demands of the job market. The focus is on developing innovative resources, enhancing employability skills, leveraging technology, and adopting a University of Applied Science approach to ensure graduates have access to decent jobs and sustainable career growth.
