On April 17, 2024, the Department of Architecture at INES-Ruhengeri held a remarkable exhibition featuring the works of Year 1 and Year 2 students. The Guest of Honor was the Vice-Chancellor, Fr. Dr. Jean Bosco BARIBESHYA, who graciously shared insights into the event and the institute's aspirations.
The event welcomed guests from the University of Rwanda, further fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange within the architectural community. Led by the Head of the Department of Architecture, Arch. NDIZEYE Chemi Andrew, the exhibition was a testament to the institute's commitment to fostering excellence and innovation in architectural education.
In an exclusive interview, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the significance of nurturing students' growth and commitment, particularly in the foundational years of their architectural journey.
"The creativity and innovation displayed by our Year 1 and Year 2 architecture students during this exhibition are truly commendable. It reflects their dedication and potential to excel in the field," remarked Fr. Dr. BARIBESHYA.

comprising renowned architects, on-field engineers, business moguls, architecture
lecturers, and professors. The constructive criticism provided by these experts
aimed to enhance the students' understanding and refine their skills.
Fr. Dr. BARIBESHYA emphasized the institute's vision to elevate its architecture program to international standards comparable to those of institutions in America, Europe, and Asia. This exhibition was a pivotal step towards achieving that goal, showcasing the talent and potential of budding architects at INES-Ruhengeri.
The exhibition showcased the projects of 60 students from Year 1 and Year 2, under the project name "Architecture Academy." The objective was to present an in-depth exploration of architectural concepts and design principles.
